Gillian and William would tell you the short version of how they met: the first day of college.

As for the longer version, the two first crossed paths on social media a few months before starting their freshman year at Miami University in the summer of 2016.  But it wasn’t until the very first day of college, when William was moving into his dorm, that they met in person for the first time. They weren't looking for anything serious, but it quickly became clear that they had something special together.

They've been together since.
